Lines, 2013

Lines explores how various borders and boundaries have been drawn through the landscape. The Scottish landscapes is perceived as one of the most publicly accessible landscapes in Europe yet agriculture, land ownership and usage have increased the need for various forms of barriers for controlling and organising how humans and animals, including cattle, move about the land. The series was photographed in the Pentlands Regional Park, a nature reservation area within the larger Edinburgh area.
